Expert Care. Personalized Treatment. Support You Deserve.
Uterine fibroids are very common and can significantly affect quality of life. They may cause heavy bleeding, pelvic pressure, pain, bloating, urinary symptoms, or fertility challenges — and while experiences vary, many women find meaningful relief with the right evaluation and treatment plan.
At Haven OBGYN, we provide comprehensive evaluation, advanced 2D and 3D ultrasound, and minimally invasive surgical treatment for fibroids. Our approach is compassionate, individualized, and focused on your symptoms, comfort, and reproductive goals.
What Are Fibroids?
Fibroids (leiomyomas) are noncancerous growths of the uterus that can vary widely in size, number, and location.
Most women will develop fibroids by age 50. Some never experience symptoms, while others may have significant discomfort or bleeding.
Types of Fibroids
Submucosal
Inside the uterine cavity — may cause heavy bleeding or affect fertility.
Intramural
Within the uterine muscle — may cause heavy periods or pelvic pain.
Subserosal
On the outer wall of the uterus — may cause pressure, bloating, or urinary frequency.
Pedunculated
Attached by a stalk — can sometimes cause sharp pain if twisting occurs.

Advanced Fibroid Diagnostics
2D Pelvic Ultrasound
First-line evaluation for size, number, and location of fibroids.
3D Ultrasound Mapping
3D imaging provides enhanced detail and may help clarify uterine contour, cavity distortion, precise fibroid placement, and surgical planning.
It can reduce the need for additional imaging in certain cases.
Saline Infusion Sonogram (SIS)
Provides a clearer view of the uterine cavity, helpful for evaluating submucosal fibroids, polyps, and fertility-related concerns.
Fibroid Treatment Options
We offer the full range of fibroid management options — from conservative approaches to minimally invasive surgery. Treatment is tailored to your symptoms, goals, and reproductive plans.
Watchful Waiting
If fibroids are small and not causing symptoms, periodic monitoring with ultrasound may be appropriate.
Medical Management
