Advanced Gynecologic Surgery & In-Office Care

Procedures & Surgery

Surgical excellence. Unmatched compassion.

At Haven OBGYN, we offer a comprehensive range of in-office and minimally invasive gynecologic surgical procedures — designed to diagnose, treat, and meaningfully improve women's health concerns.

Led by Nikita Mishra, MD, a board-certified OB-GYN and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon (MIGS), our approach emphasizes the least invasive option first, precision diagnosis using advanced 2D/3D ultrasound, and personalized treatment plans built around your symptoms, goals, and health history.

Minimally Invasive & Gynecologic Surgery

Core Specialty

Dr. Mishra specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) — using advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques that result in smaller incisions, less pain, faster recovery, minimal scarring, and shorter hospital stays (often same-day discharge). Surgical options are always considered thoughtfully, and generally after appropriate non-surgical treatments have been explored.

Hysterectomy (Minimally Invasive)

Laparoscopic or robotic hysterectomy for heavy bleeding, fibroids, adenomyosis, chronic pelvic pain, and certain precancerous changes

Myomectomy (Fibroid Removal)

Laparoscopic or hysteroscopic fibroid removal, with fertility-sparing approaches when this aligns with your goals and fibroid characteristics

Endometriosis Excision & Treatment

Laparoscopic excision to help improve chronic pelvic pain, fertility concerns, and dysmenorrhea related to endometriosis

Ovarian Cystectomy

Removal of ovarian cysts with an effort to preserve ovarian tissue and function when possible

Salpingectomy

Surgical removal of fallopian tubes when indicated — for tubal pathology, ectopic pregnancy, or opportunistic risk reduction

Salpingo-oophorectomy

Removal of the ovary and fallopian tube on one or both sides when medically appropriate

Adhesiolysis

Surgical removal of pelvic scar tissue and adhesions contributing to pain, bowel symptoms, or fertility concerns

In-Office Gynecologic Procedures

No Hospital Required

These procedures help diagnose and manage common gynecologic concerns in a calm, private office setting — without hospital admission. Each is performed with a focus on comfort, clear communication, and preparation for what to expect at every step.

Hysteroscopy (Diagnostic & Operative)

Direct visualization of the uterine cavity to evaluate abnormal bleeding, polyps, fibroids, adhesions, or structural abnormalities

Endometrial Biopsy

Sampling of the uterine lining for diagnostic evaluation of abnormal bleeding, irregular cycles, or thickened lining

Polyp Removal (Polypectomy)

Minimally invasive in-office or hysteroscopic removal of uterine or cervical polyps

Endometrial Ablation

Treatment option for appropriately selected patients with heavy menstrual bleeding who have completed childbearing

Colposcopy & Cervical Biopsy

Detailed examination of the cervix with targeted biopsies for abnormal Pap smear results or HPV-related changes

LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure)

In-office treatment for certain abnormal cervical changes, typically following colposcopy

IUD Insertion & Removal

Expert placement and removal of hormonal and copper intrauterine devices for contraception or heavy bleeding management

Nexplanon Insertion & Removal

Placement and removal of the subdermal contraceptive arm implant

Bartholin's Cyst Treatment

Office drainage or, when needed, surgical excision of symptomatic Bartholin's gland cysts or abscesses

Vulvar Biopsy & Lesion Excision

Pelvic Floor & Urogynecologic Surgery

Surgical Expertise

Pelvic floor disorders — including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic floor dysfunction — are common and treatable. These surgical options are considered after conservative measures (pelvic floor physical therapy, pessaries, lifestyle changes) have been explored. Each plan is personalized after thorough evaluation of your symptoms, anatomy, and goals.

Midurethral Sling Procedure

Minimally invasive surgical option for stress urinary incontinence — leakage with coughing, laughing, or physical activity

Sacrocolpopexy

Robotic or laparoscopic repair of pelvic organ prolapse, providing durable anatomic support using mesh or sutures when indicated

Uterosacral Ligament Suspension

Surgical support for uterine or vaginal vault prolapse using native tissue repair

Pelvic Floor & Sexual Wellness Evaluation

Comprehensive evaluation of pelvic floor dysfunction and sexual discomfort. Treatment may include pelvic floor physical therapy, conservative measures, or surgical options when appropriate

Reproductive Procedures

Procedures related to pregnancy management, early pregnancy loss, and permanent contraception — provided with clinical precision and compassionate, individualized support.

Dilation & Curettage (D&C)

Management of miscarriage, retained products of conception, or abnormal uterine bleeding — individualized based on your clinical situation and preferences

Tubal Ligation & Bilateral Salpingectomy

Permanent sterilization via postpartum tubal ligation or laparoscopic bilateral salpingectomy — for patients who are certain they do not desire future fertility
